| so i need 50 hours of cross-country time (10 of which need to be in an instrument rated airplane), which is defined as 50 nautical miles from my home airport (paine field, everett) as pilot in command, along with extra training in order to get my instrument rating (the ability to fly in the clouds and such). i so far have probably about 8.5 or so (1.5 of which has been in an instrument rated plane). anyhow, enough with the aviation jargon and to the point - anyone want to go flying with me? as a private pilot i cannot fly for hire but am allowed to share the cost of the flight equally with my passengers. the 2-seater plane costs about $90/hour and the 4-seaters cost from $120-$130/hour. cross-countries, dependent upon the winds, range from about 1.3-2 hours total. (since i need the time and since i want passengers because it makes it more fun and exciting, i may even offer a discount, hehe). the only issue i think that there would be is that it'd most likely just be a scenic flight because there's not many places to go where you can just walk from the airport into town. anyways... i'm seriously down to go anytime. if you just want to go we can jump in the 2-seater or you can grab you and 2 other friends and we can go. if you know of a place to go that you could land and wander into town, we can make a day of it. holler at me. seriously, no joke.
i'll be able to fly the twin-engine plane soon but it's still only a 4-seater and it costs like $230/hour. haha.

| so after five or so months and over $8g's spent, i can now say with excitement that i am a certified pilot. wooohooo. that means it's no longer "i believe i can fly", rather... "I KNOW I CAN FLY"!!! why? because the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States of America says that i can. haha. too bad i have quite a long way and a lot more money to spend still to go... poop. for those who ask, what's next? right now i have my private, single-engine, land license. next saturday i will begin training for my multi-engine rating. also, the saturday after next i will be taking a class to learn how to fly the more complex, higher powered, bigger, seats 4, Cessna 172 Skyhawk (right now i can only fly a Cessna 152 which is a 2-seater, 108hp plane).

anyhow, who wants to go flying?!?!?! (word to the wise, it's not exactly cheap but when i'm certified for the 172 i can take 3 passengers which makes it a bit less expensive. lemme know if ya wanna go out. HOLLER!)
